![]() Give yourself a month (or more!) to learn how to use the features of FSRecorder. You then record 30 seconds here, 10 seconds there, etc and then glue them together with Movie Maker or Vegas Software. ![]() Or wait for the section you want to record to 'play' and record that (with Fraps you toggle 'Record' with one key - I use 'INSERT' top row, on right, next to Delete). It will tell you how much time is available for replay. But you can also just use 'Instant Replay'. To learn how to do this (and other things) you must read and re-read the instructions. What is nice about FSRecorder is that you can set up tower views anywhere you need them. Personally, I use OBS for the video and Blender (both free) for the final video editing. So to answer the question, you must use one of the previously mentioned programs (Fraps, OBS, Bandicam, Nvidia Shadowplay, or any screencapture software to make the actual video) You can also make the actual video recording while flying the original flight. I used this function frequently in my videos. The advantage of this type of recording is that you 'refly' the flight for cockpit views you can fly along with the recording and video the two aircraft together or you can place a custom camera anywhere along the flight route for a unique camera viewpoint when making the video. During playback you can make the video recording and focus on camera views and managing the video recording without also having to worry about the actual flying. They are used to record a flight for playback in the game. FSR files are FLIGHT RECORDS for replaying IN FSX ONLY - similar to the in-game "flight recording" but permanently saved.
